Jubilation As Migwani Katalwa Dispensary Starts Serving Residents

MIGWANI – Jubilation rent the air as Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu finally opened Katalwa Community Dispensary in Migwani Ward, Mwingi West Sub-County.

The facility that will now serve over 3,000 in Katalwa and adjoining area had been neglected by the previous regimes is now fully operational thanks to Kitui Governor efforts.

Reiterating her 5 Pillar Manifesto whose implemention has been in full force since her landslide gubernatorial election in 2018, Ngilu said;

“I am delighted by the unwavering support by Kitui residents towards my 5 Pillar Manifesto which is geared towards uplifting and making sure that the livelihoods of Musangi remain robust in health – especially through my escalated health initiatives” said Charity Ngilu vide a statement.

Kitui County Executive for Tourism, Sports and Culture Hon Patrick Koki Musau officially commissioned the local healthy yesterday after opening Kisovo Community Dispensary.

Promising to make the facility fully operational and equipped with the relevant machines the Executive also told eager residents that the Kitui Governor will start supplying water for distribution to all public facilities.

Clarion call to women groups

The County Executive for Tourism made a clarion call to all women groups in that area to organize themselves in cohorts in order make and get fully registerion to enable them access money from the Kitui County Women Empowerment fund.

Reminding them to support and fully embrace Governor Ngilu’s programmes like Beekeeping, K-CHIC, Musau properly outlined the progress graph spearheaded by the able Kitui Governor Ngilu within her 1 year 11 months in office.

Robust plans

Chief Officer for Health and Sanitation Dr Richard Mukula Muthoka told the committee members about his robust plans towards starting th process of gazetting the health facility ans upgraded it to a fully fledged health centre status.

” We have agreed with the Governor who has also promised to have the facility fenced and provided with water tanks for proper sanitation” said the C.O.

Muthoka further stressed that pregnant Mothers should access delivery services at the facility to reduce maternal deaths.

“The Katalwa Dispensary is now fully operational. Our Governor has since procured more than 10 Landcruiser Vehicles to be used as Ambulances. One is stationed at Migwani Sub-County Hospital to provide emergency medical transport services” said the County health boss.

He also promised to bring Laboratory equipments, wire theMaternity Wing with electricity and promised to support electricity bills in case of any short comings in revenue.

He told the committee members to employ a casual labourer to assist the Nurse and a watchman.
