BBI Ruling an Insult to Kenyans – Ngilu Fumes

On FRIDAY, May 14, 2021– Kitui Governor Charity kaluki Ngilu criticized the bench of the High Court judges following their rulling on the Building bridges initiative (BBI) that rendered it null and void.

Referring to BBI as the only tangible solution to historical injustices in Kenya, Governor Ngilu said the rulling by the 5 member bench had cast a dark cloud on the future and prosperity of Kenyans.

“This ruling is such a discouragement to Kenyans and an insult to the future of Kenyans. Supremacy is in the well being of Kenyans…..as such I urge President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga to lodge an appeal to ensure Kenyans are liberated” She said.

Speaking while in Mutomo, Kitui South sub county, Governor Ngilu also encouraged the electorate be keen in vetting aspirants on basis of their Development track record and not mere hearsay.

“Gone are the days we would simply just elect someone…. learn to ask what those people have done to benefit the community….. that way we can only vote for those who have a clear agenda for development.”

Governor Charity Ngilu had joined the friends and family of Mutomo Kibwea member of Assembly Hon. David Masaku, in mourning their patriarch Rev. Josphat Munyau Kavika.

Also in attendance was Kitui South member of Parliament, Dr. Rachel Kaki and a host of county Assembly members.
