Barclays Ordered to withdraw Kitui ward admin from CRB

A court in Kitui has ordered the barcklays bank of Kenya to expunge the bad report of Kitui county ward administrator that it had sent to credit Reference Bureau wrongly.

Kitui resident magistrate Maurine Kimani gave the orders following an ex operte application by Matinyani ward administrator Peter Yaninga named the BBK As the respondent, the county diary has learnt

The county workers union had advised the employee to go to court and seek orders to compel the bank to write to credit reference bureau and have his name be expunged from the list of credit defaulters, the employee went to court on may 24, saying BBK Had wrongly referred him to the CRB Over a loan he had taken from the bank, but which had fully serviced.

Kimani said despite being served there was zero response from the bank or opposition from Barclay’s of kenya according to media reports
