Assembly Ad hoc Committee Visits Ngilu ahead of CEMS grilling


Kitui assembly ADHOC committee on Thursday held a joint sitting ahead of the grilling of the county executive members, the COUNTY DIARY has learnt.

The Hon. David Thuvi led committee investigating removal from office of the Kitui CECM for Trade, Cooperatives and Investments; Mr. Philip M. Mumo and the Hon. Philip Nguli led committee investigating removal from office of the Kitui CECM for Health & Sanitation; Ms. Rosaita M. Ngina held an initial joint committee sitting.

The mandate of the committee is to investigate if the allegations levelled against the two CECMs as contained in the recent motion moved by the Majority Leader, Hon. Peter Kilonzo and an earlier motion moved by Hon.James Munuve are true or false.

The committee has a 10 day time frame their reports in accordance with the law.

As scheduled in their work plan they were able to visit H.E. Governor Charity K. Ngilu’s office to gather critical information as pertains their mandate.

Also lined up for interrogation are Hon. George Ndotto, the Speaker of the Assembly and the Chairperson, Appointments Committee, Hon. Peter Kilonzo, the Majority Leader of the Assembly and Hon. James Munuve.
