On Thursday, May 4, 2023 – Kitui CECM for Agriculture and Livestock Stephen Mbaya Kimwele graced the quarterly meeting for chairpersons of Community Driven Development Committees (CDDC) in Mutomo town.
The meeting was part of the quarterly CDDC forums held by the National Agricultural and Rural Inclusive Growth Project (NARIGP) to assess the progress and discuss issues affecting micro-projects under implementation.
In his address, CECM Kimwele underscored the need for CDDCs to uphold transparency in all the projects to guarantee their success and positive impact on all stakeholders.
He further called on the agricultural extension officers to provide effective services to farmers under the various value chains especially those of honey, mangoes and green grams.
Also in attendance were Co-operative Bank – Kitui branch Manager Fred Musyoka, Kitui South Sub-County Agricultural Officers, Ward Administrators, and Ward Agricultural Extension Supervisors.
