How do you recognize a man when he is awake? And how do you recognize a man when he is asleep?
Sleepers cannot recognize other sleepers and sleepers cannot recognize that somebody is awake, that is true.
But if you are awake you know who is asleep and who is awake. A blind person cannot recognise who is blind and who has eyes. A man with eyes can see who has eyes and who is blind too!
Exactly in the same way, on a higher plane, it happens again: the people who have a little bit of awareness immediately become aware of
others in the same state.
It is not an intellectual thing, it is an intuitive heart feeling.
Only light recognises light. To recognise an awakened one, a Buddha, a Christ, you must be one, there is no other way!
It is automatic for me to recognise a meditative person as I easily recognise those who are metaphysically asleep. Why? I am awake! I have eyes to see!
People feel humiliated when you are not in their sleeping drama when you are awake and they are still snoring. It’s dangerous to have eyes amidst blind people. They will think you are just as blind as them but you are acting That’sal. Thats why they kill all enlightened ones down the ages.
