The opposition presidential candidate who is also the Wiper Democratic Movement Party leader, HE. Kalonzo Musyoka, is set to embark on a ten-day diplomatic tour of the United Kingdom starting October 15, 2025. The visit, seen as a strategic move to strengthen his global standing, comes as the veteran politician continues to position himself for a possible presidential bid in the 2027 General Elections.
During the visit, Kalonzo is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the prestigious London Political Summit and Awards held at the UK Parliament, Westminster. He will also speak at Chatham House – The Royal Institute of International Affairs and hold a high-level engagement with officials from the Commonwealth Secretariat. These meetings are expected to focus on governance, democracy, and Kenya’s role in global affairs.
In addition, the Wiper leader will deliver a special lecture at Oxford University, highlighting Kenya’s democratic journey and Africa’s place in international diplomacy. He will also host a townhall meeting with the Kenyan diaspora in the UK under the theme “The Kenya We Want,” where he is expected to discuss issues of national unity, economic transformation, and youth empowerment.
Kalonzo’s UK tour marks a significant step in his international outreach as he seeks to build credibility and strengthen alliances ahead of 2027.
