The Jordan Hospital Kitui, in collaboration with the Catheter Free Foundation ia hosting a major medical outreach dubbed the Catheter Free Foundation Camp. The initiative aims to support patients who rely on catheters by offering specialized care and interventions that could ultimately help them live catheter-free.
According to the Dr Joshua Matu one of the senior Ulorogical surgeons, the camp runs from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will feature a wide range of services, including comprehensive medical evaluations, health talks on catheter care and maintenance, and free consultations with specialists. Additionally, eligible patients will benefit from free surgeries aimed at restoring normal urinary function.
With the theme “Whoever voiding via catheter will go home catheter free,” the programme seeks to transform the lives of countless individuals experiencing catheter dependence. Registration for the camp is set at KSh 300, and further inquiries can be made through the hospital’s official contacts or by visiting its location opposite Parkside Villa Hotel in Kitui Town.
