78 Youth Trained On Filming Skills by Kenya Film Commission.

A total of 78 youths from Kitui County have been trained on filming skills by the Kenya Film Commission.

They were trained during a one week (Monday, October 15 to Monday, October 22, 2018) organised by the Kitui based Dream Life Production Company in partnership with the Kitui Canaan Hotels and Outside Catering Services at the Kitui Parkside Villa Hotel in Kitui Town.

The Kenya Film Commission Content Consultant Lucy Muthui was the chief guest during the event. And she presented the trained with some certificates. She highly lauded the youths in Kitui County for coming up with a filming production company in the county. Muthui asked the county government to support those youths financially and materially in the programme for them to succeed in the initiative. “The skills are very vital in one’s life,” the KFC official said.

In his speech, the Dream Life Production Company Chief Executive Officer, Amos Musembei Mwaki, highly thanked the KFC for the training. “We are so happy with the commission’s gesture,” Mwaki said. He said that Kitui County has so many young people with different types of unexploited talents. The Dream Life Production Company Director, Peter Muthui, who also addressed the function, praised the youths in Kitui County for showing their interest in the filming skills. He called upon the Kitui County government to support the Dream Life Production Company by awarding it some video coverage and documentaries services work for its (the government) events.
