62,Old Man found dead in Kipkosil village

A 62 year old man is said to have been found dead along the footpath road in Kipkosil village ,Litein in Kericho County.

Confirming the incident Bureti Sub County police commander Felician Nafula said they received an information from the Assistant chief .

Nafula said upon their arrival on the scene they found the body lying along the footpath .

” After visiting the scene we found the body of deceased without any visible injuries ,removed and take to Kapkatet sub County hospital mortuary pending autopsy,” She added.

Residents of Kipkosil term the person as to have consumed illegal illicit brews .

Alex Maritim ,a resident said he received an information from the members of the public that there was a body of dead person lying at his compound and do not know who dumped.

“The deceased is allerged to have consumed illicit brews that is being sold in the village , and we wonder why the trading of alcohol is on going and yet the government had banned entertainment joints”, Maritim added.

Maritim said middle aged persons is said to have been seen crowding in the illicit brews selling point .

“Chiefs have been raiding the area but the next day after the raid normal business of selling still continues and I appeal to the county commissioner to come up with directives and measures to curb the ongoing illicit brews”,Maritim added.
