400 Displaced Imuumba Residents in Kitui East receives Foodstuff from Kitute


Kitute Foundation Executive Director, and Narc Party National Chairman Militonic Mwendwa Kimanzi-Kitute on Friday toured Imuumba camp where over 400 households from lower parts of Kitui East(Voo/Kyamatu Ward) and Kitui South constituencies(Mutha ward) are hosted since sunday , The COUNTY DIARY can report.

The resident are camping at Imuumba camp after continuous attacks from al-shaabab gangsters who who pose as camel wranglers that left houses burnt and at least 2 people killed.

The philanthropic Kitute who lost to Nimrod Mbai during hotly contested kitui east Parliamentary race called for security agencies to ensure that peace is bolstered in the boundary of Kitui County and Tana River.

Addressing the families, Kitute pleaded with them to be peaceful as the National and County Governments work hand in hand to ensure normalcy is pursued. He thanked the Ministry of Health for providing a team of 3 clinical officers, 1 ambulance and water at the camp.

Mr Kitute, also donated food stuffs and other personal effects to the affected families and Imuumba primary learners.
