Kitui County is recording steady progress in the health sector under the leadership of Julius Makau Malombe, with the county government intensifying efforts to restore service delivery across key facilities.
The administration says it is rebuilding systems, upgrading infrastructure and strengthening patient-centered care, as part of a broader plan to reclaim healthcare standards witnessed during the Governor’s first term.
Despite political criticism and misinformation claims, the Governor has maintained focus on reforms aimed at improving efficiency, staffing and availability of essential medical supplies. County officials note that collaboration with local leaders, including Nicholas Mulila, has played a role in supporting ongoing improvements.
Visible progress has been reported in several areas, including Mutomo, Kauwi and Kiusyani, where partnerships between the county government and local stakeholders are said to be translating into better services on the ground.
The county leadership has defended its technocratic and solutions-driven approach, emphasizing delivery over politics. Residents and stakeholders have been urged to support ongoing reforms to address longstanding gaps and strengthen healthcare services across Kitui.
