Kitui Central parliamentary aspirant Boniface Musambi has expressed strong confidence ahead of the 2027 General Election, citing rising grassroots support and a well-structured political network that he believes places him firmly ahead of the competition.
Speaking exclusively to The County Diary, Musambi said the lessons drawn from the 2022 election have significantly refined his political strategy, leaving him more prepared, better resourced, and firmly anchored within a stable political party.
He described the 2022 contest as a defining moment that strengthened his resolve and reshaped his approach to leadership. According to Musambi, discipline, humility, and strategic planning now form the backbone of his engagement with voters as he works to build a broad and inclusive winning coalition across Kitui Central.
The Mulango-born leader also urged fellow aspirants to embrace long-term political growth and issue-based leadership. He revealed that his political vision extends beyond the upcoming election, outlining plans to serve two terms as Member of Parliament before eventually vying for the Kitui gubernatorial seat — a move he says reflects consistency and clarity in leadership ambition.
A former KBC journalist, Musambi has earned a reputation for prioritizing action over rhetoric. He has sponsored thousands of youths from Kitui County to TVET institutions across the country, supported needy secondary school students through bursaries, and spearheaded impactful women and youth empowerment initiatives.
His sustained philanthropic and community-driven programmes have earned him widespread goodwill and strengthened his grassroots appeal throughout Kitui Central.
While the 2027 parliamentary race is expected to attract several aspirants, including sitting MCAs and former county officials, Musambi continues to stand out as a leading contender. In the 2022 General Election, he finished second out of seven candidates, outperforming several seasoned politicians — a performance widely seen as the springboard for his growing political momentum.
