National Liberal Party leader Hon. Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli has challenged the people of Ukambani to take a hard look at their political future, warning that blind loyalty to leaders has stalled the region’s progress.
Speaking in a candid address, Muli questioned the community’s direction and leadership, saying unquestioning support has weakened critical thinking and accountability. He argued that meaningful development cannot be achieved if citizens shy away from openly critiquing their own leaders.
“Ukambani, it’s time to stop lying to ourselves. Where are we really going as a community? Who is actually leading us forward?” Muli posed, urging residents to awaken from what he termed recycled stagnation.
The NLP leader emphasized that honest self-reflection and people-centered leadership are essential for change, adding that communities that fail to demand accountability risk remaining trapped in the same political cycles.
His remarks have sparked debate across the region, with supporters hailing the message as timely, while critics say it challenges long-held political loyalties in Ukambani.
