Kitui Central Member of Parliament Dr Makali Mulu has congratulated students, teachers and parents across Kitui County following the release of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results, terming the performance impressive and encouraging.
In a statement issued after the announcement of the results, Dr Mulu lauded several schools in the county for emerging among the top performers. Kitui School led the list with a mean score of 9.718, followed by Muthale Girls with 8.83, Zombe Mixed Day and Boarding at 8.721, Migwani Boys with 8.66, and Kaundu Secondary School in Mwingi with 8.617.
Other schools that posted strong results include Kimangao Girls (8.021), St Charles Lwanga (8.0166), Kyamboo Secondary (8.01), St Angelaโs Girls (7.9677) and Kisasi Boys with a mean score of 7.544, further underscoring the countyโs growing academic competitiveness.
Dr Mulu attributed the good performance to the collective efforts of teachers, learners, parents and education stakeholders, noting that the results demonstrate that sustained investment and focus on education are beginning to yield lasting outcomes.
โTo schools whose outcomes fell below expectations, I urge you not to be discouraged. There remains significant opportunity for growth and improvement, and together we will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that every learner succeeds,โ he said.
The Kitui Central MP, who is also considered a potential gubernatorial candidate in the 2027 General Election, reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the education sector, ensuring quality learning, and leaving no child behind.
โEducation remains the greatest equalizer. My unwavering commitment to empowering learners and transforming lives through education remains firm,โ Dr Mulu stated, as he wished all candidates success in their next academic journey.
