Residents of Kyangwithya West Ward, Kyangwithya east, Mulango ward , kitui township ward and the wider Kitui Central constituency have openly urged their area MCA and Kitui County Assembly Deputy Speaker, Hon. Nzilu Nzioka, to contest the Kitui Central Member of Parliament seat in the 2027 General Election.
The residents have praised Hon. Nzilu’s leadership, describing him as a results-driven, accessible, and development-focused leader who has consistently championed grassroots interests at the county assembly.
Locals pointed to his role as Deputy Speaker as evidence of his maturity in leadership, legislative experience, and ability to build consensus—qualities they believe are crucial for effective representation at the national level. They noted that Kitui Central needs a leader who can articulate local development priorities, push for equitable national resource allocation, and effectively engage with the national government.
“Hon. Nzilu understands the challenges facing ordinary wananchi because he works closely with the people. We believe he has the capacity to represent Kitui Central strongly in Parliament,” said one resident during the meeting.
