Kitui County Woman Representative Dr. Irene Kasalu has been ranked number one nationally in the Mizani Africa Performance Index 2025, emerging as the best performing Woman Representative in Kenya. According to the Mizani Africa report, top-performing Women Representatives are distinguished by consistent advocacy for women and youth empowerment, inclusion of Persons Living With Disabilities (PLWDs), and strong support for vulnerable populations. Dr. Kasalu’s leadership stands out for the strategic and transparent utilization of the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) to deliver impactful programs across Kitui County.
