Rodah Musyoka Kazuri -Strong Leadership and Consistency Key to Business Success

Businesswoman Rodah Musyoka Kazuri has attributed the growth and success of businesses in Kitui to strong and visionary leadership. Speaking during a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Ngesa, a university lecturer, Madam Rodah emphasized that businesses thrive best when there is effective leadership and open communication between government and citizens.

She noted that the current leadership under Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe has created a favorable environment for entrepreneurship, adding that business people in Kitui are happy with the governor’s commitment to development and transparency.

Madam Rodah highlighted the importance of regularly documenting and showcasing government projects, saying it helps residents take ownership and appreciate ongoing initiatives. “Let people see what the government has done through regular documentation and positive feedback,” she said.

The panellists focused on strategic and workable communication strategies, calling for enhanced collaboration between the private sector and county administration to spur economic growth.

In her remarks, Ms. Musyoka encouraged entrepreneurs to embrace diversity, consistency, and discipline in their ventures. “If you are selling chips, sell them until people nickname you Mama Chips! Be consistent in whatever you do,” she urged.

She further advised business owners to study their markets, maintain cleanliness, and build good relationships with their staff and customers. “Be friendly, honest, and respectful to your customers. That’s how you build a strong brand,” she added.

Madam Rodah concluded by calling on entrepreneurs to unite and build Kitui through cooperative efforts, noting that collective action and integrity are key pillars of sustainable growth.
