State House Director of Coordination and Events, Mr. Bonnie Musambi, has praised President William Samoei Ruto for making history by choosing Kitui County as the venue for this year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations, saying the decision has elevated the county’s national stature.

Musambi noted that President Ruto had become the first Kenyan Head of State to demonstrate to the world that Kitui too deserves a national stadium and national recognition, a gesture he described as deeply symbolic and transformative for the region.

He said the people of Kitui will forever cherish the President’s move, which not only brought national attention to the county but also spurred infrastructural development and boosted the local economy in the run-up to the national event.
