Five Kitui Schools Receive Food Donations from MKN (Nding’o) Foundation Ahead of Exams
Five primary schools in Kitui County have a reason to smile after receiving food donations from the MKN Foundation, also known as the Nding’o Foundation. Each school received a sack of rice to support their feeding programs during the upcoming national examination period set to begin next week.
The beneficiary schools include Kyamuungi Primary School, Kwakilui Primary School, Muselele Primary School, Waivumbu Primary School, Mamole Primary School, and Ngakaani Primary School. The initiative aims to ensure that pupils remain well-fed and focused during the crucial exam season.
Speaking during the handover, representatives from the MKN Foundation emphasized that the gesture was part of their continued commitment to improving the welfare of learners across Kitui. They noted that hunger remains one of the biggest challenges affecting pupils’ performance, particularly in rural areas.

Headteachers and teachers from the beneficiary schools expressed gratitude to the foundation, saying the donation came at the right time when most schools were struggling with limited food supplies. They assured that the rice would be used specifically to feed candidates sitting for their final examinations.
The MKN Foundation has over time supported various education and community empowerment initiatives in Kitui County. The organization reiterated its dedication to promoting education through such partnerships, calling on other well-wishers to step in and support learners during this critical period.
