Ngilu Visists Ikanga Following Recent Killings

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has today toured Ikanga area in Kitui South Constituency following the recent killings where three persons lost their lives.

The killings have caused tension among the residents who say they demand a fast probe into the matter.

Governor Ngilu confirmed that new officers will today take over the police station saying those previously posted there have received transfers.

The Governor warned the killers noting police will swing into action and arrest those who have shed innocent blood and ensure they end up where they belong—in jail.

She said she’s finding a permanent solution to the recurrent insecurity in the area.

Ngilu further said the county will assist the families in laying their loved ones to rest.

The Governor said the ballast crusher (in Kitui Rural) will boost the county’s economy and create jobs.
