Kenyans will celebrate the 57th Madaraka Day this Monday on their Radios, TV Screens which will be broadcasted live on all platforms.
In the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak in the country, people will not be allowed to assemble in order to curb the spread of covid 19.
The government has already issued a directive on how the celebrations will be undertaken in the country.
In a statement, the government has announced Kenyans will follow the Madaraka Day celebrations virtually on their screens.
Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho announced that the celebrations will be streamed in all media houses and social media platforms.
Kibicho also noted that the celebration will be addressed by President Uhuru Kenyatta from State House, Nairobi.
According to Powerful Ps Kibicho, the celebrations are set to kick off from 8 am on Monday 1st June 2020/
All regional commissioners across the country have also been ordered to make sure no public gathering should take place in any part of the country.
