Kitui Deputy Governor Dr Wathe Nzau on Friday toured South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) to inspect the on going harvesting of grass pasture seeds which started on Thursday.

The grass was planted by Kitui County Government in partnership with SEKU to promote Livestock Development in kitui County.

The residents of kitui have expressed their satisfaction and joy to the governor ngilu for choosing Dr Wathe Nzau as her Deputy Governor.

Dr wathe has rigorously and precisely used his expertise well as a vet doctor to facilitate the government implementation, from bee keeping to AI program.

Approximately 500 kilograms of seeds is expected to be harvested and used in opening other portions of land in September this year. After seeds harvesting, the grass pasture also will be harvested and baled for storage to be distributed to farmers during dry spell.

Dr Nzau was accompanied by the CECM for Agriculture, Water and Livestock Development Emmanuel Kisangau and SEKU Registrar and Resource Mobilization Dr Samuel Mutukaa.

The county two top leaders have worked so well without political confrontation unlike other counties where controversy and political witch-hunt has been order of the day, Kiluli told our news reporters.
