Mwingi central MCAs hon Philima has been asked to isolate herself for fourteen days, this is after she travelled to Mombasa covid19 hotspot.
The Minister’s driver has also been asked to take fourteen days quarantine at kitui medical training facility.
Credible sources established that it’s true that the son to Mwingi Central Ward MCA Hon. Mary Philima was evacuated from Mombasa County that is under lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic using a government vehicle.
This was after the boy fell sick of other illness but not Covid-19.
We have also learned that over the weekend, precisely on Saturday May 16, 2020, that the Minister for Tourism, Sports and Culture who doubles as acting CECM for Environment and Natural Resources Hon. Patrick Musau Kuvasila was not on duty and travelled using his personal vehicle to visit a close relative who was sick.
Earlier, before Hon. Philima’s son was evacuated from Mombasa County, The MCA had officially written to Mwingi Central Deputy County Commissioner and the County Secretary requesting for a government vehicle, and was permitted to use Hon. Patrick Musau Kuvasila’s official vehicle that was available on Saturday the 16th of May, 2020 to evacuate his son from Mombasa County.
It’s worthy to note that, before Hon. Philomena’s son was evacuated on Sunday 17th May 2020, he was tested and had a normal temperature and didn’t have any symptoms of Covid-19 as alleged.
