Purse Your Lips Warns CS Kagwe As Kenya Grapples With ‘The Contagion’

Kenyan health officials were this weekend warned to keep their lips pursed and excerise restrain — or risk adverse disciplinary actions if found breaching official communication protocols, COUNTY DIARY reported on Sunday.

The tough official warning, meant to safeguard and buttress the red tape on Official Communications Act, comes as the country braced itself for a massive lockdown over the global Coronavirus Contagion.

The global plague outbreak, already running roughshod across the world while decimating thousands — has left the world rulers, including Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta scratching their heads.

Vide an official circular made available to COUNTY DIARY News Desk, and copied to various echelons of the ‘besieged’ Kenyan Health Ministry, CS Mutahi Kagwe notes with concern that;

“Some officers of the ministry or it’s State Corporations and regulatory bodies have at times been communicating to the public or engaging with the media or releasing Official information without clearance…(Transcribed by COUNTY DIARY Editor).

The CS, adding that all information released to public must be cleared through ‘This office’, warned that a breach of the above directive on the latest communications protocols will mean a disciplinary action to the officers found breaching the red tape.”

We are aware of the above circular. We are adhering to it’s direction” said a doctor in Mwingi who requested anonymity when quizzed by this Editor in the light of the directive by the CS.
