Wathe Meets Cs Munyes Over Kitui Mineral Deposits

Kitui Deputy Governor Dr Wathe Nzau on Friday escalated the county government zeal to have the mining activities in kitui begin, the COUNTY DIARY reports.

The Cabinet Secretary for Petroleum and Mining Hon John Munyes assured Wathe Nzau that his Ministry is ready to license the Artisinal Miners in Kitui, after their registration by the County Government.

Hon Munyes was speaking in Nairobi when the Deputy Governor Dr Wathe led County Executive member in charge of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources hon Patrick Koki Musau and Chief officer Mr Clement Munyuthya who had paid a courtesy call in his office.

Dr Wathe reiterated the county government of kitui commitment to cooperate with the national government to explore the God-given resources in kitui, he was representing the Governor Ngilu during the meeting in Nairobi
