Thank you Governor Ngilu for repairing our broken Borehole”, – Twimyua Community

KYUSO: The Community members from Twimyua Village in Kyuso Ward, Mwingi North Sub County, lauded Governor Charity Ngilu for directing a full replacement of a faulty 3 Phase, 4KW motor for the water pump in Twimyua borehole yesterday. The borehole is the only source of water in the locality.

The borehole which serves schools and residents in Twimyua village, Kamula village and parts of Kyuso village, was out of order since october last year, after the pump motor burnt, thus leaving the community helpless and not knowing what to do, when rain season ends.

The project chairman Pastor Stephen Mati who could not hide his joy, also thanked the Chief Officer for Water Kioko Kiilu for the brand new motor and sending experts from his Water Department, to fix it and other accessories which were required for the borehole to function.

Food and Water is the first pillar in Governor Charity Ngilu’s Manifesto, alongside affordable Health, Wealth Creation, Women Empowerment and Youth Development.
