Wathe Joins Seku Students in Cleaning Town streets

Kitui Deputy Governor Dr Wathe Nzau joined the Female Students from South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) who are members of Women Students Mentorship Association(WOSWA) to clean Kitui Town and other selected Shopping Centres along Kwovonza- Kitui Highway, on Saturday.

While flagging off the exercise outside Kitui Municipal Offices, Dr Wathe Nzau lauded the SEKU Students for suspending their weekend program to join hands with Kitui Municipal workers to clean the Town.

The DG also encouraged them to take life positively and put more efforts to accomplished their academic objective, despite the daily challenges they face as students.

Dr Nzau, further encouraged the student leaders to continue leading by example especially when giving free services to the community because it won’t be in vain.

“I would like to give an example with myself how I personally led the Kitui County Veterinary Officers, to give free services to Kitui farmers, during the Synchronization and Artificial Insemination Program earlier this year, where today we are seeing the results of that work” says the Deputy Governor.

Also Present was the Kitui Ag. Municipal Manager Job Muisyo, SEKU Senior Lecturer in School of Environment Dr Mutuku, the Association Chairperson Beth Mwangi and a representative of Kenya University Students Organization(KUSO) Peter Chege, among other male students from the Institution.
