Hon Alex Nganga football Tournament in Miambani Set County tongue wagging

Among other series of development witnessed in Miambani ward, the football tournament organised by Kitui Assembly Minority leader Hon Alex Nganga has broken the ceiling on Ward leadership. Many football lovers inside Kitui and beyond have branded the fete a must-attend. All Roads will tomorrow 31st August 2019 will lead to Miambani to mark the big event.

The Kitui’s most revered benga musician Alex Katombi aka Nguuni lovers will be the lead artist to mark the end of a one month long tournament. The tournament brought together 28 teams from all villages of the ward who faced each other in a series of gruesome soccer matches.

“The matches have been officiated very fairly and those of us who lost accepted the defeat. We are happy that our team played the best it could. We really trained hard throughout the tournament but lost. The exposure is good for us and we promise to do better in the next tournament”, said John Maithya a key fun of Kiviu FC who lost in the semi finals.

“In the wake of increasing drug and substance abuse among the youths, Nganga’s tournament is living proof that once youths are engaged, drug and substance abuse will be contained. We hail the move”, said Martin Kasinga of the National Youth Council, Mwingi West.

Many County leaders are expected to grace the occasion that takes place at a time when County operations across the country are almost coming to a sudden halt.

“Where is Hon Alex Nganga getting the funds for this tournaments? MCAs must emulate him instead of continuously shouting that there are no funds. Leaders must be very creative”, said an aggrieved WhatsApp user in one of the Vocal Social media platforms dubbed the KPC.

The winners will be highly rewarded. “Our teams have shown exemplary discipline. We don’t have losers or winners, it’s a win for the entire miambani and Kitui County. We welcome all guests to Miambani ward”, reported Papa Shaq the PA to Hon Nganga
