Residents of Zombe Mwitika Ward have reasons to smile following a major upgrade of services at the Zombe Level 4 Hospital.
Speaking while representing the Governor during a 2 day seminar dubbed “Ngevote” attended by more than 1000 Women, young ladies and girls from Zombe Mwitika Ward Patrick Koki Kuvasila, Minister for Tourism, Sports and Culture said the Governor was aware of the major health challenges faced by the residents of Sombe.
“I am aware of the hard times you face while in pursuit for healthcare in this area. That is why I have taken immediate action to upgrade certain key functions of the Zombe Level 4 facility. ” part of her speech read.
Consequently, upgrade of the maternity wing complete while works on a state of the art X-ray facility has since began and scheduled for completion.
Further, Governor Charity Ngilu, in her speech, called upon the area residents to desist from subscribing to politics intending to stop her delivering on Her Manifesto.
On his part,
The minister in charge of Sports, Culture and Tourism hon Patrick Koki Musau ,A.k.a Kuvasila Kwenze Kwenze reiterated the government’s commitment to deliver on their promise to the people.
Further, he revealed that the County Government had already put into place plans for Thua/Ngomeni, Kabati among other borehole installed with Solar Panels.
Further, Kuvasila also revealed that the social hall at Mwitika Market will be fully equipped and a proper toilet set up to ensure that the youth of the area are properly utilized and none falls into bad company.
Further, Kuvasila called on the residents to exercise patience as plans were underway to install a transformer at the health facility to boost the facility’s operations while at the same time to counter the issue of perennial blackouts in the area.
Accompanying the minister, Shadrack Musau, officer from office of the Governor, called on the young girls to avoid bad company and concentrate on their education.
Further Shadrack called upon the residents to avoid political rhetoric peddled by politicians.
Also in attendance was Zombe Mwitika Member of County Assembly Eunice Mwathi and Zombe Sub County Administrator Daniel Munyoto.
