Training workshop for trainees and county officials enters its Second day.

The ongoing public participation forum for trainees on capacity building has entered its second day on Tuesday 18th June at kuul breeze hotel in Mwingi west town.

The forum is sponsored by ford foundation and the county government of Kitui respectively, speaking during the workshop, Mr. Erustus Kombulu, CBEF youth representative urged the participants to use the acquired knowledge and skills for the betterment of Kitui people.

The County project coordinator Peter Mutemi who is also the County Director for Public Participation and Civic Engagement also called upon the trainees to be good ambassadors of county government implementation agenda.

On Wednesday the team is expected to be joined by officers from Ford Foundation(sponsor of the workshop/program) accompanied by officers from National Taypayers Authority (NTA) and County Director for Economic Planning to take the team through social audit and projects implemented from the current fiscal budget Fy 2018/2019 respectively.

Team of 50 members comprising of 25 county officials(Administrators) and 25 trainees based on special groups(youths,women and PLWD) in group discussion on legal and policy framework for gender-responsive budgeting,sovereign power of the Kenyan people,constitutional rights and fundamental freedoms enriched in our 2010 constitution,Constitution National values and principles of Governance and constitutional objects of devolution.
