Jane Mutheu Crown the best County Artist Of the year 2019

Jane Mutheu Peter has emerged the best artist of the year Kitui County during a county’s three days music contest held at the Miambani Primary School playgrounds in Kitui Central District. A total of 56 contestants participated in the May 23-25, 2019 event that was attended by more than 1,500 spectators.The event had been organized by the Live Dream Production. And it had been jointly sponsored by Kitui County Women’s Representative, Dr. Irene Kasalu, Kitui County government, Live Dream Production and the national government

Kitui Women Dr. Irene Kasalu was the event’s main sponsor. The traditional dancing, gospel singing, recorded and unrecorded music and dancing were the event’s contested categories.“Drug abuse and teenage pregnancies” was the event’s theme.

Jane Mutheu Peter, who is a gospel artist, comes from Mbitini Location in Kisasi District was the overall best musician of the year. A total of six winners in three categories including her were awarded trophies and cash during the ceremony that was graced by the presence of the area (Miambani Ward) Kitui County Assembly Member Alex Mutambu Nganga. John Mark Kiema from the High Mark was the event’s adjudicator.

The Live Dream Production Director Peter Muthui highly thanked Kasalu, Kitui County government and the national government for sponsoring the event. “The event is for the good of our county’s youths,” Muthui said.”And he requested the Kitui County and the national governments to continue supporting such events in the county for the benefits of the local youths.

The director announced that their next contest in the county that he said they are planning is the Miss Kitui Contest and that he said is to take place soon.

He said that they are planning to make the pageant in the county an annual event for the good of their youths and requested the county and national governments to support them to enable them to run the program. In her speech, Jane Mutheu Peter highly thanked the event’s organizers and her fellow competitors.

She disclosed that her interest in gospel began in 2016. And she pledged to work hard and spread the gospel in the entire Kitui County and beyond. Miambani Member of county assembly hon Nganga also addressed the function. Kitaa Peter and Ben Kilonzo from Kasalu’s office also addressed the occasion where they had represented Kasalu.
