Kitui south Member of parliament hon Dr. Rachael Nyamai on Monday issued 17 million bursary cheques to students in various categories.
The Mp was accompanied by Mutomo Deputy County commissioner Mr. Jacob Ouma, several ACC, kitui south secondary head teachers representative, teachers, and parents among another leader.
Speaking during the function the mp reiterated that her people are starving of hunger and the government ought to feed them.
Dr. kaki called all levels of Governments, humanitarians groups to provide kitui South, Mwingi North, and Kitui East with adequate water and food to the starving people.
Dr. Nyamai promised kitui south electorates that she will do official writing to the national Government and request it to fasten the process of donating food to hunger strike sub-counties in order to save the people.
She spoke this as she was on One week mission of distributing CDF BURSARY worth 17M to kitui South youngsters in secondary, colleges and universities.
Speaking during the event Mutomo Deputy county commissioner Mr. Jacob Ouma said his team is working around the clock to secure mutha from camel menace and urged the community to cooperate with police and community policing.
This comes barely one week when a farmer at the message in Mutha was rescued by police on patrol from irate camel herder who attacked him.
The DCC said his office will not tolerate nomadic camel manace in Mutha because these people pose a great security threat in the area tough speaking ouma said.
