International Women’s Day.

The Kitui County executive committee member in charge of the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture Hon Patrick Musau Koki joined TISUKA Women Federation to mark the international women day.
International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 every year. It is a focal point in the movement for women’s rights. After the Socialist Party of America organized a Women’s Day on February 28, 1909, in New York, the 1910 International Socialist Woman’s Conference suggested a Women’s Day be held annually.

The Minister was representing the Governor Charity Ngilu, who was on another forum, Having a Consultative Meeting with county assembly leadership led the Speaker hon Mutua Ndotto.

The Celebrations were held at Wikililye Shopping Centre in kitui central constituency he was accompanied by Nzambani MCA Hon Ruth Kyene, Deputy Director for Culture Shedrack Musyoka and Kitui Central Sub-County Administrator Stephen Ngesu, among other leaders

Mr. Musau reiterated the county Government commitment to empowering women in line with the Governor five pillar Manifesto.

An empowered woman is an empowered village leader and happy family, If you empower one woman you have empowered the whole village Musau added

The Kitui County CECM in the ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture Patrick Musau Koki join TISUKA Women Federation in dancing during the International Women Day Celebrations held at Wikililye Shopping Centre. He was accompanied by Nzambani MCA Hon Ruth Kyene, Deputy Director for Culture Shedrack Musyoka and Kitui Central Sub-County Administrator Stephen Ngesu, among other leaders.
