Kitui CECM for Tourism, Sports and Culture Patrick Musau, called on residents to invest in livestock production during the on going Artificial Insemination program as a way to eliminate poverty in the County.
Speaking at Gai village, Kyuso Ward in Mwingi north Sub County, the CEC said adequate milk production can only be achieved if people will accept and promote the AI program.He further said Governor Charity Ngilu’s leadership was keen to prioritize equitable distribution of resources countywide.
Present was the CEC for Environment and Natural resources John Makau Education C.O Madam Agnator Peter, Mwingi North MP Hon. Paul Nzengu, former Mwingi North Mp Hon. John Munuve, MCA Kivunzi, Nominated MCA Munywoki, among other County and national government Officers.
CEC Musau said food and water remain top Governor’s agenda along side, affordable health, education and youth development, Women empowerment and wealth creation.Musau was speaking during the sendoff ceremony of the late Mzee Jackson Manzi Kilungya, Father to David Kilungya who is a staff in the office of Governor, Kitui County.
