All elected leaders in Kitui County have been urged to support Governor Charity Ngilu.This plea was reiterated by Public Service Management and Administration/Acting Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Chief Officer Mr. Clement Munyithya at Matinyani AIC Primary School in Kitui West Sub County during a requiem mass of the former Chief Accountant at United States Agency for International Development (USAID) the late Dennis Muthinzi Nzilu, son to former Senator and MP of Kitui the late Hon. Nzilu Munyasia.
Mr. Munyithya called upon all elected leaders; Senator, County MPs and MCAs to support the Governor in her quest to improve the lives of the people in the county.
He particularly singled out the election losers of 2017 general elections to accept defeat and move on noting that the people of Kitui elected a very able Governor, H.E Madam Charity Kaluki Ngilu and that under her visionary and focused leadership, real development and transformation of people’s lives has become a reality and no longer a dream.
“Leaders are chosen by God and that for now and in the foreseeable future, God and the people of Kitui gave unto themselves Governor Charity Kaluki Ngilu.” The Chief Officer said.
He further thanked the Governor for improving road network in Matinyani and asked the people of Kitui West Sub County and the whole county at large to continue supporting Governor Ngilu.
The send off ceremony of the late Mr. Dennis Muthinzi was attended by hundreds of mourners led by MPs Hon. Edith Nyenze-Kitui West, Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu-Kitui Central, Speaker George Ndotto, County Commissioner, Senior Council Nzamba Kitonga, former Women Rep. Nyiva Mwendwa, Kitui County Chief of Staff Crispus Ileli, County Secretary Alex Kimanzi, Sub County Admin. Mike Kitivo and several MCAs led by area MCA Sylvester Kitheka Munyalo among others.
