Caritas Hosts Clean Energy Breakfast at Energy Centre in Kitui

Kitui Caritas Together with Several development partners under an initiative called InPower -www.inpowerke.org Hosted a clean Energy Breakfast on Tuesday at kitui Energy center

The Caritas kitui, CAFOD, Groot’s Kenya, Purpose and IIED held a breakfast Meeting which was attended by Deputy Governor Dr Wathe Nzau, Environment and Natural resources Executive Member hon Makau, Hon koki Musau Alas Kuvasila Minister in charge of Sports Tourism and Culture.

Hon Emanuel kisangau Minister In Charge of Water and Agriculture, CEC Dr. David Kivoto for Basic education , IT and youth empowerment,CEC Ben Katungi for public works , Administration and county affairs, Chief officer Madam Mulewa office of The governor, Dr Temi Value addition and value chain in the office of Governor, Madam Fatuma among Others.

The meeting was about how we can embrace clean and renewable energy in our household, Public Institutions, and Private entities.

The Meeting was Attended by Various Groups who are Partnering with County Government of kitui to Ensure that we lit the County with clean and Renewable Energy

The Meeting was Officiated by CEC John Makau for Energy and Environment Resources at Energy Centre past intercounty Hotel kitui town, The Minister said his Ministry is Working around the clock to Protect Environment by Embracing Clean and Renewable source of Energy.

The Deputy Governor Dr Wathe said the County Government of kitui is Committed to Clean and Renewable Energy, The Sentiments Which were Echoed by Tourism Sports CEC Hon Koki Musau.

Mr Musau said in the Next Budget allocation the County Government will factor in More Allocation to the Ministry because Energy cuts across all the Ministries.

A lot should be done in the Ministry of Energy up to the village level in order to improve the kitui county economy and also the whole County.
