Kitui County legislators led by kitui East Members of Parliament hon Nimrod Mbai have asked the National assembly Majority leader hon Aden Duale to get his camel herds away from kitui east and Kitui south constituencies.

The camels manace has been an issue in kitui East and Kitui south constituencies for the last decades, The legislator said 90% of camels in kitui east and Kitui south belong to the National Assembly Majority leader.

The Mp was accompanied by Hon Dr Racheal Nyamai the MP for Kitui South and MCAs from Kanziku, Mutha, Kyamatu/Voo, Endau/ Malalani, Zombe/ Mwitika and Nuu wards, the leaders later held a meeting with the Kitui County Commissioner to discuss the insecurity caused by the invading Camel Herders in Kitui County.

Our position was very clear, we can not co- exist with the Camel Herders and they should leave our land with immediate effect kitui east Mp posted on his facebook account.

Kitui south Mp Dr Rachael kaki Nyamai has urged the National government to intervene , save the saddening situation ahead of the rain season and compensate the affected families by the camel manace.

It shall never be the same again, Mr Duale Must stop threatening Us , we are elected members of Parliament kitui east mp said, he must dispose some of his camels if he doesn’t have enough pastures for his camels, the jubilee mp said.

Honestly, I have nothing to bring home today but some disappointment on my part as your MP, but I will never disappoint you great people the mp said.

The delegation later joined the Deputy President, William Ruto for a function in Machakos where they discussed the same with him, Nimrod said.
