A 20-year-old boy has been apprehended and detained at Kitui Police Station for defiling and harming a 6-year-old girl on Wednesday at Miambani location.
Miambani area Chief Muthoka Kilonzo confirming the incident said that the accused has been reported severally having sex with donkeys and goats and then disappearing, until Wednesday when he defiled a 6-year-old girl.
Kilonzo revealed that after the incident the boy ran away but in partnership with members of the public, they did a thorough search until he was arrested and taken to Kitui police station where after investigations, he will be arraigned at Kitui law courts.
“We have arrested the 20-year-old boy who had defiled a 6-year-old girl and in collaboration with the community, we have taken him to kitui police station waiting to be arraigned in court to face the law.
I have bad cases of this boy for having sex with donkeys and goats, so he is a threat to the community,” The chief said.
He warned parents against leaving their children alone urging them to monitor even their movements during this Christmas season to make sure they are in well-protected areas.
Kilonzo also advised members of the public to report unlawful incidents immediately they occur in their area so that quick action can be taken on the accused person or people.
“I warn parents during this Christmas period to advise and warn their children against breaking laws because whoever will do so, action will be taken. I urge you to report immediately those people who break the law so that the right action can be taken,” Chief Kilonzo urged
In the County noting that the drug abuse was contributing to the increasing cases of defilement of minors.
