On Friday, 12th March, 2021 – Kitui Deputy Governor Dr Wathe revealed that over 20 Dams in the County to be stocked with 80,000 fingerlings.
Dr Wathe Nzau held a meeting in his office with the Senior Fisheries Officer in the State Department of Fisheries, Aquaculture and the Blue Economy Samuel Kariuki Ombicha(right), CECM for Livestock, Apiculture and Fisheries Development Emmanuel Kisangau and the County Asst. Director in the Department of Fisheries Aggrey Ogolla in his office today.
The State Department of Fisheries, Aquaculture and the Blue Economy in partnership with Kitui County Government, is set to stock 20 Dams in the County with 80,000 fingerlings.
Dr Wathe, will be leading the team to Ngaa Dam in Museve Village, Kyangwithya East Ward and Munika Dam at Kaveta Village in Kitui Township Ward, to launch the program by stocking each Dam with 5,000 fingerlings.
